Default Mechanical Help needed !!

Hey everyone,
a day ago i was driving everything was fine, out of nowhere the engine check light gos on. Within a few hours i started noticing that the car felt like it was choking, i would accelorate everything would be fine then as soon as i would touch the pedal it would start choking, if felt as if the car was almost not picking up speed at all. Then i would let go and re-apply the throttle and everything would be somewhat normal again. The computar results came up as a miss fire, a mechanic told me that, that wasnt the case and it was a miss reading. He told me to replace the fuel filter and clean out my butterfly flap in the T. Body. I did both, yet again the car continues acting up. Does anyone know what this can be because i honestly dont know. Along with that i cleaned the K&N filter just incase.
He said to reset the ECU after changing all the parts and everything would be fine.

Please help. Thank you, Denis

WOw. I would recommend you dont see this guy ever again. lol. I had problems with my coil packs. ALso you could have a cracked spark plug. Might have a bad ign. wire. Who knows. I cant really help you without more info or seeing the car. FORD throttle bodys have special coating on them, they say not to clean the throttle body. So, who knows could be alot of things.

UPDATE:

I ended up cleaning the MAF . . . 10 min later the check engine goes away. I thought everything was fine untill yesterday the car started acting up again, As i would increase the throttle the car would start jerking at low RPMs as soon as i would get up to 2 rpms everything seemed normal. As soon as i would turn on the A/C or defrost my idel started becoming very rough. At times while standing at a light with the defrost on the rmps would be rising from .5 to 1. Along with that my exhaust pops everytime i take off, its a light pop.

I need help guys!

btw the code was supposably a miss fire in one of the cylinders

Take your car somewhere else and see what the code actually was.

So many things could cause this, I don't want to rattle all them off and make it more difficult than it needs to be.
