I looked on amercian muscle since they usually have good deals, and they have gears for alot of stuff but the only 4.10 kits they have that arent 600 dollars are ones that dont work for automatcis 99 and above, only manuals, anyone know why?

Motive Gears are for 8.8" Ford rear end. These Motive Gears will fit all GT and Cobra models from 1979 to 2006+.

$600? The ring and pinion gear is the same for both the manual and AOD. You'll pay ~$200 for the gears and$90 for the bearing kit. Installation is what bites you in the ***, I paid $360, but I know it was done right. So over-all you may be looking at $600 if you include install.

600 for the diablo tuner kit, people said motive gears were horrible? and i konw installtion is a bitch. but are motive gears fine? if so il ljust get them

Note: The Dallas Mustang Speedcal will only work with 1994-2004 manual transmissions and 1994-1998 automatic transmissions. This gear kit is for the Ford 8.8" Rear End.

the shop that i talked to said they need the kit

Motive gears are fine, the "problem" with them is the manufacturing tolerances are tighter than the FRPP gears which makes the install a little more difficult since you can't use the Ford pinion depth thingy. But a shop with experience doing the install should have no issue.

^ plus one.

they only tend to whine when the installer uses Ford specs.

another choice would be FRPP grears

the actual gear and kit will work fine...that "NOTE" is just stating that the Diablo Tuner that comes w/ it will not fix the speedometer reading on 94-98 automatic models....you have to use a SpeedCal for those.....as long as you're 99+, the gears/kit/tuner will be fine
