Default K&N vs. Tunable Induction

Ok I've been hearing two different opinions on which intake is the way to go. I'm convinced that tunable induction has the better quality air intake but I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the extra 130 bucks as opposed to the Gen. II K&N that is a little over 200. From what I've seen, both give you like 15 hp. Am I wrong in thinking the K&N might be the better way to go since it's saving me money for other mods?

wtf are you talking about?

a) The K&N FIPK will NOT give you 15rwhp, nor 15 crank hp unless you've got a FI car.
b) The densecharger (tuneable induction) is CHEAPER than the FIPK at $160. The extra money comes from an OPTIONAL 85mm MAF.
c) Get the densecharger.

The tunable induction system isn't more expensive!!! Its only $160 for the full lenght kit. Its only $339 when you get it with the pro-m which does not come with the k&n.

k&n kit (no mass air meter) = $209
Tunable induction kit (with no mass air meter) = $160
Tunable induction kit with mass air meter = $339

So you see, the tunable induction kit it actually less expensive even though nobody seems to see that.

And by the way, im not trying to be mean if it seems that way, just trying to educate all the people who think they are more expensive.

People from other posts have said they got a 15 hp gain with the K&N because they had their car dynoed after they got the intake installed.

Not only is the densecharger a better intake but it now comes with the green filter which is suppose to out flow the K&N by a lot.

but on a near stock 2v?

Intakes can only give you so much hp. They generally make a bigger difference when other parts of the intake and exhaust are further opened up because the intake becomes more of a restriction. Other gains come when you're using a super/turbocharger that pull even more air in through your intake. Densecharger(Tunable Induction) made a significant difference in my Supercharged car but I wouldn't expect miracles.
