RE: Alignment and LT install
believe it or not the K member bolt holes on the passenger side are elongated so it could be bolted up in a slightly different position. you should have installed your LTs then got the alignment done, but its too late for that.i'd recommend making around the bolt heads so that you can get the K back in the same spot.

RE: Alignment and LT install
it took me one full day doing it 99% myself with breaks for dinner, watching some TV etc.
and no i haven't had the car aligned again, the steering is still dead straight so im not really worried about it.

I think dropping the k member is a little excessive. After you pull your stock manifolds off, these are the steps I did.1.) Just disconnect the tranny mount and both motor mounts. 2.) Since you'll be jacking the motor up, pulling the drive shaft would be a good idea- Make sure you mark the driveshaft in the back, where it connects to the diff. It needs to go back the same way you took it out.3.) Disconnect the steering shaft4.) Disconnect all the other stuff that's in the way. 5.) In order to get the headers to slide in, you'll need to play around with jacking on the motor.6.) Jack the motor up, or down and slide the headers in. - Note: Doing one side at a time would help. I kind of tilted the motor a little one way to get one in, and then back to get the other in. 7.) While the motor is still jacked up snug all the top bolts8.) Lower it down and snug all the bottoms9.) Finish the normal steps. That's just the gist of the way I would do it. If you do choose this way, please be extremely careful, as your motor will be suported by jacks. What I did was put blocks of wood in between the motor and the mount surfaces built into the body, that way that motor would only fall so low. Also, when you jack up on the motor used blocks of wood on top of the jack, that way you don't dent the oil pan, etc...I'm sure there's more detais I put here, but if your'e interested in this way, let me know if I can help.- Kevin.
