so when i turn my car off i hear this pretty loud hissing noise. im pretty sure its from the air conditioning but when i park on a hill it gets really loud which im guessing the moisture is dripping onto one or both of my hot pipes. anyways my question is this wont crack or damage that pipe will it? or is my car not supposed to make this noise in the first place?

 

I notice my moms02 GT does it everytime she parks... No it shouldnt crack or hurt anything.. theres no diff between that and drivingin the rain, only the a/c doesnt put out nearly the amount of moisture rain does...

 

The condensation that the a/c creates shouldn't be leaking on anything hot. The condensation tube that comes out of the pass. side fire wall should be clear or the exhaust manifold. You also might be hearing the equalization process that the carsa/c system, (and all a/c systems), go through after shut down.
