Default POWER PROBLEMS

I own a 2002 mustang GT 57000 miles on it. My big problem is when I am driving at highway speed or streets speed the power just cuts off completely. The power goes everything with it from stereo to power steering. i have no after market stereo or anything else that could drain the power. What could the problem be? I have a little boy and dont need to slam into a wall cause the power goes off so please help me.

The power steering has no correlation with the electrical system in your car. Are you saying the engine shuts off completely?

WOW, that is very crazy not to mention kind of rare, (and double tough to diagnosis viaa forum), that the car completely shuts off during normal operation. A couple of things come to mind, (granted they are all guesses and might not be the problem), that could shut the car off while under normal operation. A faulty "roll over/collision" fuel shut off switch, a faulty ECM, major short to ground, intermittent cam sensor, intermittent alternator, ext. Hard to say man. Can you give any more details?

The topic says while cruising, I should have probably said decellerating, but I said that in my post and I've noticed a lot of people don't realize it dies when they get out of the gas while driving. [8D]

It has done it with the clutch in and not in slowing down just driving around and even on highway. No mods have been done to the motor or eletrical.
