Default Will these fit?

I am looking to get some new tires since I went out to my car the other day and I had a flat, on top of them having very little tread life left I figured I mine as well get some new tire. Will 275/40/18 fit on my car without rubbing when I turn. I have a 98 cobra with cobra r wheels. I have 275/35/18 on there now. Which one would be better for what? Also does anybody have any suggestions on where to order 4 tires. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money. I looked on ebay and there are some slightly used goodyear f1s for like 80 a tire. Anybody have any experience buying tires on ebay? Thanks.

Are you taking about the rear or front tires? I wouldn't run anything bigger than 255's up front. The rear can fit 275/40/18 with no problem. I have 275/40/17 on my car and it does fine. E-bay can be a good source for tires....just have to be careful. Oh, and don't go with goodyear. Get some DR's.

Also what size do you recommend in front and what size in the back. Should they be the same brand in the front and back?

275's ar epushing it up front, but hey if they fit...

Anyways, say you go with 255's up front and 275's out back, you won't be able to rotate your tires or anything. Have to take that into consideration.

Well, I have 235/45/17 in front and they are flush with the fender. I had 255's but they stuck out a too much for my taste. It's really your perference.....you could run 245's up front also.[8D] I say 275/40 or 275/35 since you have 18's. DR's are drag radials.....like Nitto and BF Goodrich. They are much stickier than street radials.
