RE: automatic trans
sticks rule, autos suck. most people who say autos are better just say it cause they want a stick, or jealous cause they cant drive one. naw im kidding, but i have found that true in some cases.

shift kit, tranny cooler, tranny temp gauge, torque converter, bands, driveshaft, gaskets and seals, thrust washers and bearings, springs, piston, aftermarket valve kit (not required), tools to change everything, fluids, upgraded clutches, speed sensor (not required but a good idea to replace), stall converter, powder coat (not necessary but reccommended), pressure plates, labor (if you arent experienced with transmissions), etc.
there is more but its too much to list. its alot of the little sh*t people overlook that should be replaced while they are working on the transmission. and you should consider a super-size servo also. if that is too much go to the following link and consider a transgo. all in all it will run you thousands to properly build a 4r70w, but it depends on your application... mine well it needed to take up to 650 hp
