Default Tranny Temp Spike

In the process of making an SRT-8 Charger cry, when i was done i noticed my tranny temp gauge spiked to 240 degrees... now its 105 outside.. but this is the hottest ive ever ran usually it tops off at about 190. could this be the torque converter slipping? or what could cause this... when it comes to transmissions i always have a professional work on it, i dont touch them. But what could i be expecting in problems and repairs.

that seems normal. i'd be worried if it stayed at that temp for a significant amount of time though. look into a better tranny cooler if you dont already have one. btw where are you monitoring the tranny temps from, that can make a difference. i'd personally do one on each tranny line so you know the temps going out and the temps coming into the tranny.
