Default SC+cams on stock bottom end?

Right now i have a kenne bell and pushin 9psi which i know is about the max i wanna run on the stock motor. I know most of u are gonna say why spend all that money on cams mainly for the sound if u cant even use them to full potential but i just LOVE the sound of a cammed car. My question is that if i were to get stage 2 blower cams but didnt want to blow anything just use like a 6psi belt and the cams and wanna have it make the same power as just on 9psi and no cams but sound much better. Would that work till i get a new bottom end??

U sound like me.U just got to have that sound and lope in there to be a real muscle car.Sounds like a good idea to me.If your running 9 now and u drop it to 6-8 psi u should be fine.If u have the extra money laying around go for itlol.

If u stay under the 450rwhp u should be alright with a good tune but it mite last less then a year or it may last 5-6 years.

I don't think you should do it, just start saving now for a new bottom end.

i think you should get your car dyno tuned first to see where your at...if you have room to play with then yeah why not, but if youre already in the 400-425rwhp range...then its a no no
