I put on the new intake manifold with the aluminum crossover because mine cracked and i started it up and it was running really ruff. We took it and got a diagnostic done on it and it said cylinder 8 misfire so we replaced all the sparkplugs in it and its still running ruff and its getting a spark. Tomorrow im gonna get a new fuel injector for cyl 8 but does anybody have any idea what else it would be? I have this thing for 3 weeks and i havent been able to drive it at all because something always goes wrong with it.I also just put new halo projector headlights in it and the wires shorted out...

Could be plug wires have cracked? Spray some carb cleaner and see if it bogs or dies. Also you could swap an injector from another cylinder before spending cash. If you have a 96-98 then you could have a cracked coil pack on the underside. Very common problem. However I would say either your injector has gotten dirty or your wires cracked while muscling them around.

yeah i switched around the fuel injectors from 7 to 8 and it seemed to smooth out a little so i guess ill trythat first, and if that doesnt work then i guess ill get new plug wires, and if that doesnt work then i guess i spend the money to have ford figure it out cuz i dont really feel like taking it apart again when its over 100 degrees out. Its getting a spark though so idk why it would be the plug wires unless its not getting a hot enough spark.

If you take the injectors out and soak the ends in carb/injector cleaner over night that should clean the grit out of there!

ive already cleaned them with carb cleaner as much as I could, i dont think im gona soak em though the paint started coming offof em as soon as i started using it, not that it really matters. Ill see what happens.
