What should I do with my 2V?

What should I do with my 2V?
My number 3 and 4 piston ring lands have broke from detonation. I am not exactly sure of what I should do now. I have considered a stroker kit and cams and port and polish my heads but the gains seem to minimal for all that money. Then i thought about going cheaper with just a forged bottom end but the only gains from that is maybe one day I will get a S/C but that will be a long time from now. I have looked into DOHC swaps but they are pretty expensive too. I am lost and can't make up my mind, my cylinder walls need a honing to fix some of the damage. Any suggestions??? Installation prices aren't a problem I can install everything.

Get stage II heads and cams, forge the bottom end with the rods and pistons...then put a dual stage wet system on it...a 300 hp kit. If you can do the work yourself, it should cost about 5K. The block is good for 600 hp.

It sounds really great to start pulling prices off the net and throwing stuff on.. but without the supporting mods etc it just doesn't work. Turns a 5k job in to a 10K job really quick. Not only that, but I have yet to see a 2v spray more than a 200ish shot.
