I put a off road x pipe on my 04 mach1 and installed steeda mil eleminators. like a dummy i wiped of the 02 sensors with my hands[sm=badidea.gif] and of course 3 days later they went bad and the check engine light came on. about 2 weeks later i replaced the bad 02's with 4 new bosh. today the light came back on[:@]. im clueless to what the heck is going on. thanks for any help.

havnt gotten the chance yet, im planning to monday. but my gas mileage is crap wich makes me think that it is the 02's again

did you reset the comp. unplug battery for about 5 mins. also may be bad mil eliminators.

could be a tune up on the gas part...when i got my 96 the guy said they didnt need mill elliminators untill 99 but he also said that 12psi is good for fuel injection uummmmmm so i have a code checker and it was saying system too lean bank 4,8,1 i got a pair for 50$ and it shut the light off

yes the comp got reset at the transmission shop (they put the 02's in) so the mil's being bad is what i was thinking to. is it common for them to not work?

Did you put the MIL's on the front two sensors or the back two? If you put them on the front two then that's your problem. You don't use them on the front two because they're the ones that do the reading. The two back ones are there to let you know if you have a problem with your cats. All the MIL's do is give the computer a certain reading from the two back ones so the light don't come on. Sounds like you don't have any on the back or you put them on the front.

bad front o2 sensors would affect gas mileage. rear o2 sensors arent used by the ecu to control the fuel maps. they are just a way to show that the catalytic converters are working properly.
