Default Mod Motor

Hi i am new to thissite anda recently converted ford guy after ownin 2 ls1 and an lt1....I have a couple questions but my biggest one is whatexactly determines if its a modular motor or not...Im not farmiliar with the term modular motor...any help would be greatly appreciated

94-95 stangs had the 5.0's too.

And Ford's use of the term "modular" was to indicate the tooling that the engine was produced on. The machines were designed to be able to produce multiple variants of the same engine, hence the 4.6, 5.4, 2v and 4v are the same basic engine.

Modular means the same block can accept different key componants to fit differnt situations. That way they can put the same block in more platforms with different heads, cams, crank and so on andget the desired results.

Why is it you went from an ls1 to a 4.6 ...... Unless its a Termi then its no need to explain... But they ^ covered the Mod Motor..

what was wrong with your Lt1, other than the fact that you had to hire a third world anorexic to get to the plugs on the passenger side
