Default refusal to start...for a sec

My car has got about 23K miles on her. Today when I went to move her out of the driveway, at first she wouldn't start. I pushed the clutch in and turned the key like normal. There was nothing. The battery was fine, heck all the guages worked fine including the battery indicator. I tried a couple times, with it in gear and clutch in, and in neutral, clutch in. There was absolutly nothing, not a click or an attempt to start. Finally I turned the key and held it for a few secconds and my baby fired right up. I let her run for a little, then went and got gas cause I was pretty low. After filling she started right up normally.

Has this happened to anyone else? I know about misfired starts, mine has done that, but this is different. Is it a preview of bad things to come?

Hmmm... sounds like maybe the security was acting up. I dunno. Never had it happen to me. If it happens again, just unplug the battery and ler everything reset.

Mine did that for awhile and when I had it looked at , the security system was causing it. Something with the delay time between clicking the alarm off and turning the key.

Did you have to do anything to fix it, or did it go away on it's own?
