Default used headers...

OK getting some used Ford Racing High-Flow shorty headers for cheap. I have found gaskets, but does anyone know where I can find bolts and studs so I can put them on? That's all I will need right? These will bolt onto my exhaust in my sig right? I appreciate the help!

Check out Jegs or summit racing. Get ARP hardware, great stuff. Make sure you put a straight edge along the flange on the headers where you bolt them up to the head before you buy them to make sure there not worped so you wont have any exhaust leaks. Other wise great. Also If there unequal lengths they will bolt up just fine. But the equal length shorties, I have heard will be a bit more of a pain in the neck, to install.

im not sure on this or not, but you may need some high temp permatex also to do the install. im not sure on this for the mustang motor but for my 69 super bee, my header bolts go into the water jackets so you will have colant coming out of the bolt holes when you take them out i think. im not sure on this for the stangs so can someone comfirm it for me. if this is true for our heads on the stang, put some permatex on the bolts before you put them back is so you dont have a leak when you start it up.

I would recommend the locking style header bolts so your chit doesnt vibrate loose. Its a common problem.

OK thanx.... I know what the studs are and I know that I will need them, but I can't seem to find a kit that includes right number of studs/bolts for my headers, they all come with the headers when you buy them. Not so for me because I am getting them used... Anyone know where I can find out this information and a package???
