you can knife edge the butterfly, grind down a little of the protrusion in the retaining bar, use flush, triangle headed screws instead of the bubble shaped retaining screws. remove metal from the circumfrence of the tob but not on the butterfly landings. you can remove a pretty good amount of metal from the upper plenum especially around the egr area and where the air enters the lower intake on the throttle side.

You're going to spend more time and effort into p/p your factory parts than it would be to just buy aftermarket with the same gains.

not if hes bored on a saturday, only took me a couple of hours. in all reality i would probably buy a 75 mm throttle body but i would still p and p my stock plenum, i saw a test where a properly ported upper plenum could flow as well or out flow pretty much any aftermarket one.

plus its free. i know the butt dyno isnt the most accurate but i really did feel a difference. it wasnt much but it was pretty dam good for the price
