This is not a tech site.
From the description at the top of the main page: Mustang Forums is a discussion forum & one stop resource for all Ford Mustang cars, with topics & photos including maintenance, repairs, performance, and care.

Sounds like you have a bad attitude, and need to get squared away before making any more admonishing remarks.
Sir, screw you sir. If I needed your opinion on my attitude, you could pm me anytime.

Why would you expect an answer on this forum when there are only a few members?
There are a total of 11596 members according to the stats page. Granted many may be doubles, but still, get real. My question wasn't highly technical, and I believe that some of the people who have completely removed and installed a performance intake knows exactly what the IAC is, how to remove it and clean it. My complaint stands. Your objection is noted.

##Edit
Demonite: Removing and cleaning the IAC is a breeze. I don't know if that was my problem, but I'm hoping. As a test I started the car with the power cord to the IAC disconnected and it did exactly what you described. It would start, but then the rpms dropped to zero and the car shut down. Hopefully cleaning that will fix your problem.

the concern may be the iac valve if it has moisture blow out the moisture using compressed air and i may be fine.also kn filters may damage the maf sensor if they are overoiled the oil will eat up the sensor i am a ford tech and i have seen this happen.as far as the guy saying ford said the problem is premium gas i have never heard such bs i myself have never had a car have any problems do to premium fuel only from fuel that has too much watter in it .bad gas.in some cases if you get your car to run tap the iac with a hammer not too hard and if it idles right that also indicates a bad iac most cases not all.

I can understand if the filter is getting gunk onto the IAC, that's fine. What the Ford tech told me was that the filter could be the whole problem. She wanted me to put the stock filter back on, and run the car for awhile. If the problem kept happening, they would have replaced the IAC for a Ford Estimated cost of 200 dollars. If it stopped happening, they would have said the problem was the filter.

What your saying makes more sense, that the filter could cause problems with other intake parts.
