how much did it cost you to get your t45 tranny rebuilt with new syncros ?

my friend just got his done at a local tranny shop for right under 1500. To me I'd rather buy a used one and put it in myself.

Never had one done. I found out years ago that they're really easy to rebuild yourself in an afternoon. Parts are generally no more than $150-200.

Youy do need a press, but the cheap Chinese ones (from Harbor Frieight and places like that) are good enough and only cost about $150. Good thing to have in a garage anyway!

depending on what tranny is in your car I would try to upgrade. If it is a T-45 it will be an endless pit. (from my experience atleast)
