Default Wheel pulls

Hey guys,

I'm new and I don't know everything about cars. I was wondering what would cause my car to pull to the side when I hit bumps or uneven sections of road?

thats inevetable... its just your tire grabbing sections of the road, is your car lowered? you might want to look into bump steer kits

No my car isn't lowered yet. It's not just a slight pull. Sometimes it pulls really hard like 6 inches to a foot over on really bad roads. I doknow my shocks, struts and springs are long overdue for replacement though.

Worn suspension parts can do funny things.

If you don't have enough positive caster in your alignment, the car will follow every line in the road. If that's how it feels, I'd go to an alignment shop for an opinion and quote.

Thanks. I think I'll get the springs on first before I go to the shop.

Mine does the same thing. Im pretty sure it has to do with alingment because the insides of my front tires are worn.

Check your front end bushings, like the rack and pinion and lower control arms. Mine followed the road espically when I installed the 275/40's. I changed the rack bushing and lower control arm bushings from the stock rubber to eurothane (however you spell it) and the car all but stopped following the road. Plus the steering response was much much crisper.
