Default Exhaust Ticking?

I think I can hear a ticking coming from my midpipe. I have the stock H pipe so I don't know what it could be.

Could this be a gasket or a cat going bad? I did the IAC mod and I heard once or twice that the cat can go becaue of the extra fuel going through the piping.

IMO that sounds like a cat problem, but all of the cat problems i have heard are more than a tick. That could be because they came to me after a while or driving but IDK. i would pull it and check the cat for any moevement inside.

jmac doesnt your car have like 15k miles on it? i dont think the cat will be going bad. just get the car up and check all the clamps on your slp and the gasket between midpipe and catback. i know ive had to get under there and retighten every now and then.

but sounds like a great reason to go o/r

Ya, I just broke 16k miles last week. I didn't think it was really the cat. I will go under and check all the bolts. I will probably be getting an SLP X pipe soon.

Classic sign of an exhaust leak.
Does it speed up and slow down with engine RPM?
If so, start hunting around and tighten things down.

Would the stock ones come loose? I haven't upgraded my midpipe yet so the only aftermarket thing is my catback.
