Default Another IAC mod Q sorry guys!!

I understand yall get tired of answering all these questions all the time but i think its important this time.

I did the IAC and love it it shifts better revs better but im getting a wierd sound
after driving it a minute i noticed when i let off the gas between 2k and 1500rpm i get a crackling sound almost a pop like a str8 piped car
is this normal???
im getting no CEL so i dont geuss its hurting anythin
also it idle like 200rpms higher

the pop is normall...it makes it sound even more bad *** so dont worry bout it. the idle i dunno. did you disconnect your battery?

no i didnt
if my CEL comes on(it hasnt yet) ill just clear my codes
my sounds like a 70s muscle car i need to listen to it go down the road not just sit inside of it

you need to disconnect your battery for like 10 min to reset your Cars cmputer memory that way it will go off the new iac gasket size not the old. thats why your idles messed up

what your doing when you disconnect the battery is reseting your KAM er something like that. its your cars short term memory for settings(something along those lines) and if you just install something like that without reseting it, the car tries to compensate to get the setting like they where previous to the install. thats why you disconnect

If you don't disconnect the cable and let it idle that high for a certain amount of miles, eventually you will get the CEL. It will give you a code saying you have a malfunctioning IAC...

Just disconnect your batter even if the light comes on...disconnecting the battery for about 20 min. will erase the CEL too.

Yes...your resetting the "Keep Alive Memory"..in the ECU...
