There is nothing extra to buy unless you want a different shift ****.

You don't need the stops on the Tremec 3650 and it is advised to remove them completely from the shifter. If set incorrectly you will not engage the gear correctly and will damage the transmission.
how come you dont need the stops??? I thought the stops are to prevent over shifting ( hitting the shifts really hard). In my fist 2 t-5's i broke the 3rd/4th shifter fork in the tranny because i didnt have a shifter with stops. Did they make the 3650 in a way to prevent this? Cause i have the 3650 in my saleen and dont want to power shift until i get a shifter w/stops. Just checking???
tr3650's have internal stops... but I use the shifter stops reguardless. its better to not have the shifter stops than to set them incorrectly thats all.

So what if I am not using the stops MD? Bad or good? I'm going to take my time installing it and whatnot, so i'll try my best to install the stops correctly, but i'm jw.

And the deal i'm getting doesn't seem as sweet after someone said $80 from ebay [&:] But i can get the triax for $150 shipped, i think its sweet.

I also haven't heard anything bad about them. But the MGW costs like $200, and wings...you already know i'm pretty low on cash lol. Anyone know why MGW is better than the Triax or vice versa?

Buy the rubber gasket they sell on mustang tuning so you dont hafta use the goo silicone sealer stuff. My friend just got his tri-ax this week and we put it on yesterday. It was very easy.

Well it is shorter for starts. I haven't had any other short throw for my stang. I started looking at shifters right around the time MGW announced the release of the shifter. Most people on other boards where jumping ship from the Tri's and 5.0's for the MGW. I can see why now that I have one. IT IS AWESOME! Worth the extra dough anyday. Short and perciese and the handle position is adjustable.

Well I really don't want to spend the extra $50 unless it is a night and day difference between the two. Everyone seems to love the triax, and like I said, haven't heard anything bad about MGW. So since they seem to pretty similiar, with one being shorter and maybe a little more precise, I don't think it's worth the extra 50. Unless there is some other big reason to get a MGW over a triax...
