Default Timing Help Now!

Is this what i align the timing chains to? It does not look like what i was expecting but its the only other mark on the sprocket. The mark on each sprocket is in different places so what do i do? Very confused.

you align one link at the bottom with the keyway(assumingyour on tdc)and the other link with the dot on the cam gear. Thats how I did mine and my driver side was only out 2* due to the fact I couldnt degree them at the time, but the dyno guy said it wasn't a big deal he could adjust fuel to equal it out.

So you aligned them right and the timing was still off? How does that work.

Because I used the old cam gears that prolly had a little slop in them and compcams grinds 4* into their cams so you don't necessarily have to degree them.

use the mark on each gear and fold the timing chain in half and mark it or find the bronze links and they will be the same way
