car wont start

Default car wont start

ive changed the batt changed the starter sometimes it will start sometimes it will not i just get a click sound and i also hear the fuel pump. any ideas?

try pumping the gas when ur starting it...

I had a problem like this with my car... it was my idler that was bad... I just banged on it with something hard and it started working again

Hmmmm normally just a tick says battery, or started armature, but you chaged those. i am puzzled. i am going to check with a tech give me till tomorrow. i might have something for you if noone esle does.

Check your ground wire to the frame...Could be dirty. Also clean the wires on the battery if they are dirty (scrape them with a knife to get a nice shine).

I'd kind of say you need to replace the starter. If it was a bad ground or bad connection, you wouldn't even get the click the times it doesn't start, you'd just get nothing. The click sounds to me like the starter is on it's way out, fast. It's a pain in the *** to change though, so give everything else a try.
