Default 4.6 engine problem?

I have a 2002 gt with the 4.6. I ran 1st gear up to 6K rpm today and it bogged down to 4500 and was pouring blue smoke out my pipes. also, sometimes when im at an idle i smoke a whitesh smoke with a blue tint. my engine seems to run fine and starts up everytime. Anyone have ANY advice on this because im dumbfounded right now. I am running and offroad xpipe and flowmaster mufflers

Why did you run your car to 6k in first gearis my first question? Did it start smoking at idle after you put your o/r midpipe on?

Blue smoke is almost always, oil burning. Black smoke is usualy fuel system problems ( unless of course your car is on fire). White smoke is usualy coolant related.

is it stock?...'cuz our motors peak at like 4500 rpm i think....no reason to spin that high at all in first gear your just lookin' to hurt something if you haven't already...forged or cast bottom end don't mean anything if you melt a ring and start burning oil....which might be the reason you bogged down from oil getting past the rings and contaminating the combustion cycle...hope that's not the case ,but i'm sorry if it is...blue smoke is a bad sign.

think of it this way... imagine sprinting down each isle while food shopping when you can walk instead... you're putting on excessive strain for no reason...

the mustang can take it... but if you want longevity out of your car... try to not peak 3500 rpm... unless of course you have a reason to rip on it

Not too sure what all the hype is abuot spinnin git up to 6K in 1st. You're fine.

I would bet (and hope for your sake) that you just sucke a bunch of oil in thru the PCV valve. Check it - it might be bad. It's fairly common.
