Interior Light Comes on with Headlights??
I have a 98 GT, and for some reason the dome light now turns on with the headlights and parking lights. As soon as you turn those offthe dome lightturns off as well. The light will go on if either door opens like normal, i just cant seem to figure out what it might be... any thoughts?

ok heres an update, the dome light WILL NOT come on if the key is not in the RUN position and the headlights are on the on position, however as soon as the key is turned to the run position the dome light pops on.... hmm....

Okay, so in theON position, headlamps ON, the light is ON. Key OFF, headlamps ON, the dome is ON. What if you turn your headlamps OFF and keep the key ON? Dome on or off? Also, do you have an aftermarket alarm?
I have a suspicion, but I need more info.

Hmmm... Somewhere there is a short. I would have to see the wiring diagram to give you a better idea where, but...
If your alarm blinks the running lamps, it is likely tapped in at the headlamp switch. If it does not blink the lights, then nevermind any of this rambling.
I would start by looking at the headlamp switch (pull the **** out like if you had the headlamps on, use a tiny flat screwdriver in the slot beneath the **** to release the metal clip and the **** should pull off, then pull the gauge bezel off) and see if they tapped into the wiring for the alarm behind the headlamp switch. If so, then maybe either something is shorting there, or the electronic switches in the alarm itself could be bad. The whole key-on thing is really the major clue. I just am not sure how it plays in without seeing it.
