Default Loud noise when turning right.

So when I pull into a parking spot I get this loud noise coming from the rear of the car. Funny thing is though...it only does it when I'm turning to the right. It sounds like some kind of animal dying...it's that bad and that loud. I looked under the car and my passenger side muffle had come loose from the hanger, so I had exhasut pro weld it back up thinking that was the problem, but it still does it....any ideas guys?

Aside from an animal dying, what does it sound like?

just got over this problem, i had to get new ujoints, which lead to a new d.s, then a new rear trans seal, now the brassbushing needs to be replaced, my advice, park the car and fix it or you'll be doing the same thing i am, and now im down about 500 bucks, b.c i didnt think the noise was that bad!!!![:@]

What did that sound like? I have some kind of noise when I turn left sometimes and I have no idea what it is. It is kind of a whoomp whoomp sound. Is that the same sound you had?

Whomp whomp, whomp on turns sounds like clutch packs in the differential.
If you can't find any mechanical interference anywhere you might try dumping the differential fluid and taking a look in there.
Make sure to install a bottle of friction modifier when you re-fill with fresh fluid even if the fluid has the modifier in it.
They never seem to put enough in.

Could also be U-joints.
Put your hand on the transmission tunnel as far toward the rear seat as you can.
Now do some turns, be careful, and see if you feel it in the floor.

Another good test for bad u-joints is to put two of your larger friends in the back seat and go for a ride.
This will change the angle of the drive shaft and generally of the U-joints are just starting to fail, will either make it better or worse.

All this is assuming you don't just have a loose part hitting something.

Hmm, clutch packs in the differential? Might be time to upgrade What am I looking for if I look in there? I'll try the things you said and see if it something simple or not. Hopefully it is because I'm trying to supercharge my car and if this is an expensive fix, that's going to delay it[:@] Thanks for the information, though.

yes...the whoomp whoomp kind of sound is exactly what it's doing. I replaced the u-joints about 15,000 miles ago so I doubt that would be the problem. As far as it being the clutch packs, I just installed 3.73s and used the royal purple fluid, which has the friction modifier in it, but do they put enough in it or should I add some more?

UPDATE: I just went to ford and bought a bottle of friction modifier to add to the differential. Itwas $3 with my discount and I figureit can't hurt to try it. I'll keep you guys updated on it.
