Advanced auto parts can check your alternator. They have a black adaptor that fits over there tester that holds the alternator. I work there, and it took me awhile to figure that out when a guy brought one in off a ford. lol.

I'm quite certain the connections were secure and tight... although the wiring may be the culprit. I think I'll go look under the hood and look for some scorching or fraying on the wiring, well, as much as I can see.
Thanks for your help guys!

RE: Battery Light Turns On Intermittenly, Car Dies
I mistakenly posted that the problem had been solved.
A few weeks after replacing the Wal Mart Piece of CHENEY battery, I noticed the light starting to flicker on and off. This problem re-emerged at high speed with a load on the car.
So I'm driving down the road a few weeks later in the middle of a rainstorm. Well, I hear a whine coming from the engine and a second later completely lose power steering, electrical charge, and brake boost.
My serpentine belt flew off the pulleys. Thankfully, I was at low speed and pulled into a parking lot.
I strongly suspect that my 90k mile aged and worn belt was stretching and slipping. I replaced the belt for $25 and have not had the problem since. If it happens again, I will swap out the belt tensioner.
This was a much cheaper fix than buying a new alternator. I will keep the community updated if this happens again.
Thanks again.
