Default how to beef up 3650

Ok so I will be building power soon and in my infamous quest for it, a weak link which I know nothing about is the trans. I know how to build a solid axle, get the slicks, strong cluth, u joints, shaft, etc, but how to beef up the 3650??

You build it up by getting a TKO and swapping it out.

These tran's arent even worth beefing up, cheaper in the longrun to buy a trans that can take a beating, like a TKO 5 speed or T56 Viper Spec.

yeah.. the 3650 is complete garbage. my car was pushing 550RWHP 500RWTQ with the stock 3650 and it's still running strong. what a piece of junk!

lol thats good to hear. Well for the time being I only wanna push 400ish rwhp and 475ish rwtq on slicks, so I guess the stocker will do for now, but I was planning on swapping for a T56 down the road and was always interested in the viper spec one. How much power can it handle?

Note you said stock- he is asking about beefing up the 3650. I did not say the trans sucks- I said it was not even worth beefing up. There are some out there that will take a thrashing, but if you are planning to take it apart and put in better synchros, stronger forks and make it handle insane power, it is more cost effective in the end to get a TKO or a T56.

I agree, however that is the "official" rating from tremec- look at the 3650's rating:
