I'm seriously considering a programer for the pony, anyone can tell me about the one to get, Diablosport Predator, Superchips? Also, will the programer recalibrate my speedo since I installed 3.73 gears last week....TC

I have a predator and I like it. It to recal your speedo too

SCT is nice but requires a Computer to make the modifications if you go with the excaliber.

Both are good just a matter of choice.

Yeah I like the Predator as well. You can also adjust for the diameter of your tires, so if you change out your rims and tires you can adjust the speedo for that as well. It has a pretty powerful tune as is, so there's not really a need to change some of the settings. I'm actually getting rid of mine, bought in December of 04. I'd have to see if it works on the GT cuz I got a 99 Cobra.

is it possible to sell them? i was thinking that they were vin locked once you use them..

When you first get the tuner, it uploads your stock tune to the tuner, then at any point you can reload your stock tune for instance if you go to the dealer. If you want to sell the unit, you have to reload your stock tune and then anyone from there can use it after that. Let me get this exact info from Diablo and post it here later.

yeah let me know.... another thing, i'm probably getting 4.10's soon, and unless i find a deal on a programmer i'm probably not gonna buy one at least within a month or so, and i don't wanna waste the $100 on a speedcal. I can live with the speedo being off for a while but does it affect the odometer reading as well, cause i don't wanna put extra fake miles on the car.

I couldn't find it on their website but I've seen other posts on here and other forums stating the same thing. It's VIN locked only when the diablo performance tune has been installed. Once the factory tune has been installed back into your computer it's good to sell. I'll keep looking.

What people are saying about the Predator is true. It is locked until you put the stock tune back on. It can be sold after that.

I do believe it affected my miles, prior to be recal'ing the speedo.

I'm really talking out of my *** here but id go with a sniper chip or programer, ppl think its a new company and doesnt have a reputation yet but its actually a division of ford racing. they just did that crap to get in on other car maker markets and my logic tell me this....when programing a ford car why not go with a ford programer? cant go wrong lol.
