no not remove the mufflers, the silencer they have...........there is a sound bite clip somewhere in some other forum where dis guy did it and that stang sounds as if it had catbacks on it..........ill get back to you on that with the link later on

Never heard of an exhuast silencer... please do post the link...sounds to me as if someone is yanking your chain...

doesn't sound very impessive...... When I saw that link of "how-To's", I went out side and chopped my antenna. Shot it up with some pray paint and put it back on. Looks sooo much better!

I'd say remove your mufflers (I've done this). Block off your EGR valve. This keeps exhaust from going into your intake plenum.

Does removing the air silencer really do anything? Is it difficult. Dumb question but what hold the filter on if the silnecer is removed?

The Air silencer is only the rubber piece...there are 2 plastic pieces that hold the filter on...they kind of clamp it in place. It is very easy to remove, and worth it. Just follow the directions posted in Mustangworld.com

The air silencer is a rubber funnel type piece that connects to the cover over your filter and protrudes into the passenger fender. Remove the rubber peice, more air will be able to get into your engine. You dont remove the plastic cover over teh filter though, just the rubber peice attached to it. It helps I think, but better yet it makes a nice whooshing noise when you step on the gas real quick.

i did that to mine when i forst got it, no noticable power difference, but it does make a cool sound...
