I was wonderin wat mods i could do transmission wise to my Auto,,, Made the mistake of not being patient, and signed the papers on the auto, instead of waiting for a 5spd, haha i wish i could just rip out the auto and put in a manual. but im going to make the best of it. any mods for an auto transmission

Start off with a K&N filter and mid pipe 1st. Then 4:10's and a BC-automotive valve body, 3400 stall converter, trans cooler (www.bc-automotive.com), tuneand DR's. These few mods with really wake up your car.

Well like above start off with some of those mods the only thing I would suggest is that you go with a JLT CAI Cold Air Induction, and if you use your car daily on high ways 4:10's might be a little to much for highway use 3:73's if its a garage queen 4:10's will be fine. I would say do the throttle body, pleanum C&L make a good one. and get a Tune the possible ways you can go with the 4.6 motor! Enjoy ur stang!!!!

Just out of curiosity is this a DD. Cause a 3400 stallwould be kinda suck to have to drive in traffic.

Read some of the boards and see all the problems the 5spd guys have with clutches, TOB, gear boxes etc and that should make you feel a little better [8D]
The 4R70W is built pretty much like a tank as long as you don't nail it with OD on and full throttle.

Get yourself a tranny cooler and then look into the jMod.
Look here for everything you have ever wanted to know, and more, about the Ford auto tranny:

http://tccoa.com/articles/tranny/tra...on/index.shtml

Pay particular attention to topics concerning shift kits.

Good luck!

a tranny cooler should be the first mod behind a K&N air filter.. trust me.
