Default PI fun

well im finally going to do my swap in about 3 weeks. I have all of the parts and this weekend going to pick up a ford racing gasket kit. I know there are a few other things i need to get like a waterpump nipple i thin kand some other things. iv tryed to search and look but couldnt really find. Can any one who has done it b4 give me a list of things ill need other than the parts and gaskets. thanx

have NAPA or the dealer print you out the bolt pattern for the heads and cams if you are taking them off. Dont forget new head bolts or get ARP studs. MAKE SURE THE HEADS AND BLOCK ARE PERFECTLY SMOOTH because modular motors are especially **** about having a perfect mating surface. Also get the procedure for taking the timing chain on and off. If you need anything I'm an automotive student at PCT so i can print you out any thing procedure wise and e-mail it or put it on here for you to print out.

if you would be able to get me a copy of that that would be awsome. i know the gasket kit i got comes with new bolts for the heads

make sure you mark the chains very will before you take either of them off. If i remember correctly, I think if the keyway on the crank is pointing up, all cylinders are below deck which is where you want to be before you take them off. Remember which chain is right and left because you are pretty much screwed if you don't. The hardest part is putting them back on because you have to deal with the tentioners. the best thing is to have someone their to help you do it because its hard for one person to do it all. I'll do a write up sometime this week for you.

head gaskets, intake manifold gaskets. make sure your valve covers fit your heads.
