axle shaft swap
I have to swap out the axle on my passenger side is this a job i can do? if so what would i need for tools and how long does this normally take? Thanks ahead guys

Its pretty easy buts its a messy job. Support the car on jack stands, perferably under the framerail.You have to take the cover off and let all the gear oil drain out. After that you have to remove the center pin by removing the little(6 or 7mm bolt) out of it. Then you have to take apart the brakes on the outside, remember to un hook the ABS pick up. Then back in the center you have to remove the c clip from that axle and pull the axle out. Inspect the bearing and seal(replace if necessary) slide the axle back in and reverse above directions. Fill with fluid and off you go.

Like he said, It's a pain in the *** if your on your back upside down with only jacks holding the car up. Makes it easier if you have acess to a frame rack where you can sit down and work with the diff right in front of you.
