Okay, I am confused...What do you mean it's stamped. The scoop is a seperate piece that is bolted on to the hood. And from popping the hood, you would not be able to tell anything because of the hood blanket. It could be modified to work, I just don't think it would be worth the fuss. Since the F-body's TB is in the front of the ebgine, it's much easier to justify a "ram air" hood.

Finally, if a supercharger on a stock '04 GT will keep you at the top, it must be a short pile

For one I think you would have to be going 100000 mph for the side "break coolers" to actually work... I have them on my 5.0 (stock) and I have read some stuff online and the scoops on the side of the 5.0 are actually functional but you have to be going like 147 mph before they work...
