That would be stupid for every 10pounds is 1hp. (from what i hear) This is only 8 pounds u say then u wouldnt even gain 1hp out of this. So no dont that would be pointless
So if I loose 60lbs of body fat, my car will gain 6hp?? Unlikely!
Dont be ignorant yes if u lose weight ur cars time will be faster. Of course your engine isnt gaining hp for every 10 lbs don't take so litteral that is just a way they have determined or caculated the decress of time on ur pass to the amont of weight taken off so yes 10 pounds does affect it ur cars time and 60 pounds would help a good bit in ur times.

I believe he knows that... but thats not what you said the first time. You said that taking weight out of the car gives you HP and it doesn't. I can't put my car on a dyno and get 400rwhp and gut the whole interior and put it back on the dyno and make 425rwhp... Thats all he was saying. Lets not get too difficult here guys.

i took mine off a long time ago. and 8 lbs is alot when you are removing other things such as, rear seat, rear seat moldings, gutting the trunk, etc.
look under any full gut or legitimate drag car, i would bet 99 percent of them do NOT havethe dogbone.

so what does the axle snubber do exactly? i can't just leave it off?

Hey! Someone used the search function! Yippie! WoooHoooo! BUT you brought a thread back from the dead.

Good initiative Bad Judgment.

You need the snubber for hard compressions of the axles.

You need the snubber, so leave it. The dogbone can go, but according to cliffyk its supported by the same bolts as the snubber, so shorter bolts are needed.

As others have said, it is needed. It limits the amount the pinion (front) end of the differential housing can rise, and prevents the axle from winding up on hard acceleration--which can cost power and/or grenade a U-joint from an excessive drive angle...

I heard he ran for public office and it was found out that he cheated on his taxes and the Bolivian government deported his mistress because she was applying for citizenship using his wife's maiden name, ShanaEquaza Mendoza-Cardona-Vasquese-Smith.
