Default Do I need a clutch quadrant?

I recently installed a centerforce dual friction clutch, even after trying the self adjustment thing over and over, it seems like the clutch is dragging a verrry little bit.

Inbetween shifts sometimes it feels "notchy" and even sometimes when you first push the clutch in, 1st gear seems hard to get in and you can almost feel the car trying to pull.

I don't want to destroy synchros because i'm gring gears all the time... so what do you guys think?

any adjustment tips?

I don't know too much about the stock adjustment, other than pull up on the pedal and push in a few times.

I do know that the adjustable cables, firewall adjusters and alluminum quadrants are bad a$$. Well worth the $100 for the kit.

You can manually adjust the OEM quadrant (read about it here), however unless you bend the tab mentioned in the article you'll have to do the "underdash thing" every 3 to 5 days to keep the tighter setting.I ended up getting UPRs triple hook quadrant and "QuickClick" firewall adjuster(I got them both for $50, call them up and tell 'em you want a deal)--very much recommended. I installed it a couple months/4k miles ago, played with the adjustment for a couple days 'til it settled in, and haven't been near it since then.

go with the aftermarket clutch quadrant especially with an aftermarket clutch. my stock plastic self adjusting clutch adjuster lasted only about 4,000 miles after i installed my aftermarket clutch until i was driving one day and i pushed the clutch in to shift gears and the pedal made a loud snapping noise and went to the ground with no tension at all and i had to crawl home in 2nd gear without stopping and let it stall in the driveway.
