Foxes are fun if you're into heavy modding. Or a 94-95, you still have the 5.0 to work with, but the sn95 body. And did I mention cheaper?
351w swaps are fairly cheap nowadays, and 302/351 parts are soo soo easy to find. Just a thought from the non-modular point of view.
I bought my 95 GTS with 79k miles and a near perfect body for $5,500.. spend the rest on a new engine and gofast parts!

i bought a 99, couldnt afford an 02-04 like i would have prefered, but now im kinda regretting it...thinkin i woulda been better off with a fox lol... i wouldnt buy a 99-early 01...too many problems with them...you could prob find a nice 02 in your price range

Also,in 2001 didn't they start putting on Bullitt wheels, smoked headlights, and larger hood scoop on some cars? IMHO those parts look really good as a whole on the New Edge bodies. Just something to keep in mind while you are looking around.
