But a turbo is also controlled by a BOV that will release the boost pressure once it hits is set limit. A turbo makes boost at 2500rpms and if its set to 8 lbs it is making 8lbs at 2500rpms. A supercharger like a vortech or procharger wont make 8lbs untill around 5000rpms. And as banned stated above the rpms can get away from you with a turbo and if the jackass of a tuner raises your rev limiter your motor will go boom.

I totally agree that RPMs are a problem with stock internals. That is why almost all factory FI cars have forged internals. But if it is the tuner setting the impropper rev limit, then there is no reason that a TC is any more or less safe then a SC (seems more like a driver problem). The person doing the tuning can still mess up.
If the problem with TC is a human error issue, then the problem is not that a TC causes more problems then a SC, it is just harder to get it right (or harder to drive).

I am a N2O guy myself, so the TC vs. SC is more of a novelty then anything else (I hope nobody minds that I keep this thread going).

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

the turbo is controlled by the wastegate... not the blow off valve.

actually boost is controlled by the waste gate and boost SPIKES are realesed by the BOV.

Or look for a new forged rotating assembly on Ebay ,I found one for 1500.
IMO I wouldn't put anything in my engine that I found cheap and on ebay

You can go spend $500 more for the exact same parts if you want but I bought my rotating assembely from a company off ebayfor $1500 and have a perfect running engine.
