thanks for the advice... problem is, my car, garrage, and tools are in Maine... I'm in Indiana... probably shouldn't ask tech questions while working lol. I'll be back home by Dec 22nd.. So I can check everything you guys are telling me when I get home.

I think those fans are rated at 60 amps!! My 98 GT has a 60 amp fan fuse in the under hood fuse box!

That is why I wanted him to check to see how many amps the fan is actually using. I have no idea why ford would put a fan in that runs at 60A, that is rediculous. Like I said before if it runs more than 15A, get a new (better) fan.

oo i just noticed the diagram of the fuse box i downloaded(yeah, my fuse pannel says see owners manual, and my car didnt have one), does say 60amp for the 4.6.... and it had a popped 30 in there, and i popped a 40 as well.... makes sense... im going to toss a 60 in there when i get home and see how long it lasts. thanks for all the info you guys, i guess when you ask the right questions, **** gets answered quick and thorough lol.

I am now pulling my POS ford fan if it infact does pull upwards of 50A. That is ludicrous. What a waste of amperage. No wonder my amps have be giving me troubles.
