RESONATORS AND MUFFLERS

Whats the difference between a Resonator and Muffler ? why chose one over the other ? and are resonators street legal ?

Muffler is more than one chamber. A resonator is a straight through thing. Wikipedia ftw

A resonator will generally tend not to have the resonance associated with a chambered muffler. Resonators and Mufflers are both street legal generally, but it just depends on the noise laws in your area. You really do just buy the one that you like the sound of because there isnt any real difference in performance between them.
