are all convetional oils wax based i mean my motor can see 160k out of using this oil right?
I dunno, just I heard forever from many people in the lube industry that pennzoil is crap and parafin based oil. Sure, itll last you a long time, but pull the motor apart, there will be crap and sludge EVERYWHERE, and lucas and pennzoil isnt as bad b/c lucas is good stuff

Until an unbiased, unsponsored, scientifically controlled series of tests are done and published there is one answer:

Any synthetic.

The only constant should be that you stick with the brand you choose.
+1

Synthetic is just worlds above anything else out there. "high milage" oils generally are nothing more than a thicker oil to stop leakage, and mostly even then they are snake oil.

You don't have to worry about leaks and worn seals for a LONG time in a 4.6L if you use synthetic from the start and stop that wear. My car will never see anything but synthetic ever again, regardless of milage.

45k and on it's 2nd batch of RP 5W-20. I used Mobil-1 5W-20 before that. It hasn't seen anything else other than what the dealership used in the oil changes I had them perform prior to 20k.

I also don't know if it is wise but the RP website recommends waiting 12k between changes when using their product. I think they even guarantee the motor if a failure is proven as a result of their oil.

it'll go 12k before you need to change it

but there is nothing wrong with chaninging it our for clean oil every 3-5k.
