New 96 Cobra. Anybody know these codes?

New 96 Cobra. Anybody know these codes?
I'm helpin my dad out with this 96 Cobra he just bought, it just got a new head gasket put on, 81000 miles. The car is in great condition..on the other hand i just ran the code reader on it and these codes popped up.

P0401
P0301- This one is a misfire in cylinder number 1. Which could be caused by a fowled out spark plug correct? A wire..other stuff.

I hope to get this Cobra off of him haha, hes selling it but im going to see what i can do.
I'm new on these 4.6, i have a 95 Mustang so im in the 5.0 section most of my time.
If anybody can help me out, i'd appreciate it!

P1443 is emissions, the 1 at the start means it is a manufacturers code. I have the same one on my 96 gt. I think it is because I have an exhaust leek, perhaps that may be the same with you.
