check your tie rod ends as well... jack the car up... if you can wiggle the wheel left and right without the other wheel moving there is a tie rod end bad somewhere.. probably inners.. They are bad about getting loose

the bushings on the steering rack will also allow the wheels to be moved if they are blown.

unless you car has been abused alot or has 45k+ miles you shouldnt have to be replacing anything.
its going to be in allignment/tires pressure/shocks and your driving style.
driving through a turn with alot of gas = understeering
driving though a turn while letting off gas = more neutral
depending on your tires try upping the PSI to around 32-34 up front, if you have adjustable shocks play with the settings a bit.

and for gods sake get an allignment.

sweet...fyi its a used car from CARMAX and it came with 39,000 miles. i got it up to 47,000 7 months later. I didnt get a carfax and the other thing done on it...both came back clean, no accident or anything major. did find out that it has been repossed once or twice.

I have some weird set of tires on the car, the fronts ones dont match the rear ones, and they are some unknown off brand.

the sway, floating isnt anything major, but when i go to get it serviced, ill mention it to the service tech.

i was just curious if anyone here has noticed it on their cars. thanks for the input pep's.
