Default Check Engine Light

Well before I post this, I am going to get the codes tomorrow before work

I've been having alot of trouble with the Check Engine Light coming on after I fill up, thought it was just bad gas... The first few times i went off after about the 4th start-up so i figured it was the gas, So i changed who I bought from and no problems, I filled up yesterday and the light was off before i filled up, as soon as i started the car it came on, tried to open the cap and put it back on thinkin it was leaking gases, not the problem, but i know it couldn't be the gas cuase it would need time to go thru the fuel lines and such

I was wondering if there was some sort of gasket around the gas cap or where the gas cap screws to?

Its an 01 GT by the way...

Yeah you need to get a new gas cap. Yours isn't sealing anymore and causing a pressure leak which is setting off the light.
