Default DIABLO SPORT questions

Before i start i did reserch.... SO i may be buying a diablo tunner but i just have a few questions. I have a Automatic 99 Mustang Gt only mods being an air silencer removed and a "cat back". Now they say that you will experience a gain in gas mileagae how much has any one noticed if any and is that on the reg. or premium tune. I also hear I should expect 10 horsepower is this true?

If you bough a stang for gas mileage might as well set it on fire. Diablo will net you 10-14 rwhp and its a great mod. It fixes the throttle response by a great margin and car accelerate much faster. I have it on my V6 and it works miracles with my automatic tranny.

you do get increased gas mileage, but you also need to buy premium gas.
i get about 1-3 mpg better than i did stock, depending on how i drive, but the 20-30 cent difference per gallon more than makes up for the gas mileage..
(i did the tune, though, to change my gear ratio's so i wouldn';t be putting fake miles on my car, so in the long run, if i save 30,000 "miles", the car goes up in value, etc.."
anyway, the point is, you don't get the predator, or a mustang, to act logically and rationally.. you get it to have fun, and shouldn't worry about gas mileage.

dont worry about gas mileage... get a civic if u want to fix gas mileage.. i can see if ur choosing a lower gearset bc of mileage but a tuner wont be that noticeable of a difference...

make sure u raise ur shift firmness up if u get it!! and turn traction off... my car feels a lot faster. and its not in my head

you will feel it in the shifts and how the transmission works. you'll probably gain some down low and a little up top, when i got my diablo tuner i didnt really notice much of a difference *im a manual* other than the whole RPM range seems to be smooth, the stock tune usually really made its power right after 3k and the car started to move from then on, but with the diablo it smooth the whole bottom range into that 3k mark i feel. i have more mods now so its different than your car. it defenitely IMO is a must have if you plan on modding.

just give me a PM if you need anymore help.
