Default Emissions test...

So I brought the pony out of the stables today and brought her down to get emissions tested. Despite the beefed up motor, supercharger, cams, aftermarket exhaust AND a narly exhaust leak at the drivers side header...I passed (hooray!)

however

while going over the info on the printout afterwards the GVWR was listed as 4490...

You gotta be kidding me....theres NO WAY my car can weigh that much is there? Imean, I thought about everything I added to the car since I got it. I can see the thicker stainless steel exhaust adding a few pounds...maybe even the kenne bell and the intercooler....but 4490?!?!

I'm gonna try and figure out another place to get her weighed in....thats gotta be wrong...

More like 3490. Try a truck weigh station.

Now correct me if i am wrong, but the GVRW is what the max weight the car can be with passangers and cargo. the actuall weight of the vehical is less.

Yeah, that the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (the most weight your car is rated for), much different than the Curb weight, which is what you car itself actually weighs.
