Best Heads and cam combo for a 97 GT?
just bought motor and trans from a 97 GT w/60K on it for $500....this motor will be going into my 99 GT... was wondering what the best combo for heads and cams will be also be buying headers , intake TB and all those other little things....also if i did the same mods to my 99 GT would it put out more or would it be the same power gains...thanks

if your looking for just a street car, find yourself some pi heads and some pi cams, or go a stage 1 cam. then a pi intake to finish it off. when your done, you will have a pi motor with a bit higher compression. and a bit more power than a stock 99+gt. if i ever bought a new motor(if mine blew) and i was gonna stay n/a/street car i would do a non pi motor for the compression diff.

i hope you know that buying a non PI motor for a new edge then doing the PI swap is way too much money, time, and work for the small HP advantage.

Hi, I just wanted to get your input on my set up and see what you veterans in the 4.6 world would think.
98 GT installing Ported PI heads, 274h comp cams (St.3 for Non-PI), typhoon intake. I already have every other bolt on including exhaust, LT's and gears.
