Default Excessive Brake Dust

He guys,
I am in between on buyinga Brembo cobra R brake kit, a Baer brake kit, or a roush alcon brake kit. I hate excessive brake dust getting on the wheels and wanted to know if anyone has had problems with any of these three? I am not just buyingthe brakes to get rid of the dust, but I am buying themfor future plans. I have new 18s ready to go on, but don’t want the brake dust that my stock brakes throw out to get on the tires. Suggestions are also welcomed!

Anyone have any problems with Hawk brake pads?

The pads are really the determining factor, not the brake manufactuer or rotor size.

That said, my driving style wears down a set of pads every couple months. I went through a couple sets of Hawk pads and then tried Greenstuff pads after a friend reccomended. I'm sticking with the Greenstuff.

The Hawk pads aren't especially dusty or anything, but the Greenstuff pads really seem superior, and they cost about the same. They make less dust, and seem to survive my heavy (ab)use longer.

I think theres also Redstuff pads which I haven't looked into yet. Might be worth checking out.

admitting that you abuse is the first step in solving the problem....HAHAHAHAHA

yea but hawks r pretty good. EBC greenstuff are the way to go. like sixeight said, they last longer and they have better stopping power. i replaced my padsafter 2 weeksof use because they were'nt all that great in stopping.

The EBC Greenstuff pads are better for your set-up if the car is a DD. The reds are more for heavy track and circuit racing.
